Fifteen years ago I decided to pursue a lifelong dream, open a country gift store like those I remembered from childhood family vacations.  So one day, after much deliberation, I left my teaching job on the South Side of Chicago and set out  to  Lake Geneva.

Life has changed considerably over the past 15 years, as has my little country store.  Once a 400 square foot, pure handmade craft, consignment store, Rag Thyme is now considered to be one of the finest gift shops in Lake Geneva.  With 3500 square feet of beautiful affordable gifts, our shop welcomes all who enter.

Besides our Main street location, Rag Thyme operates as a store away from a store at various festival and fairs in the area.  Our booth is almost famous at the Wisconsin State Fair as well as the Walworth County Fair, Cedarburg Festivals, Rosemont Christmas Expo and many other locations.  I started out as a craft vendor and have not forgotten my roots.  I still bring my handmade Raggedy Ann dolls to sell to my long time craft show customers.  For the past 9 years, Rag Thyme has also operated a seasonal Christmas location in the Janesville Mall. 

Over the past 15 years, I’ve watched my business and my family grow.  I am now the proud grandma of two amazing little girls and the most grateful friend of so many new and beautiful faces.  I’ve never once regretted leaving Chicago to pursue my dream.  I thank everyone who has shopped my store for allowing me this wonderful opportunity.
